Card Sorting

When remapping your website, having your users participate in a card sorting exercise is a good way to get some insight on how they would like see your future website. Card sorting is fast and easy, you can do a closed or open card sort. The close card sort give users content on cards and have them sort the cards into pre-defined categories. The open card sort Give users content on cards and have them sort and label the groupings, it’s exploratory. Having your user’s insight will make you new site mapping a lot easier, it will make the users feel more connected to the content.

My First U/X Prototype

I finally got to do what I’ve been waiting for since class started, I got to put my wonderful design thinking brain to work and created my prototype for the project. I was extremely excited to put my vision, my ideas to work but I quickly learned designing by yourself and designing with a team is 2 different things. I couldn’t just do I wanted, everybody had their own ideas they wanted to see in the prototype. Some I agreed with and some I didn’t. I presented them with different ideas which connected to our research but they weren’t getting through because our team was disconnected on what our goal for this prototype would be. I decided to suppress my opinions and just go with the flow. It worked out pretty well, and got a pretty good prototype. look forward to the next one.

Storyboarding UX/UI

Who doesn’t like a good story? Today I will be learning how to create to visualize a process. visualization is the most powerful delivery tool for information. It will be authentic, simple, emotional. By creating a user journey which is a process a person goes through in order to accomplish a goal, I will be able to create my storyboard. there’s 2 different strategy roles, current journey and the future journey, that one demonstrates the way users could integrate with your solution.

Challenge 2: Wireframing

For my wireframing project I decided to use Cash app by Square ink. The reasons my I choose this app is because the design is amazing, the way the navigation flow together is wonderful. I love using this app, it is easy to understand. I decided to wireframe 5 pages of it, also let’s pretend you already have an account logged in. the 5 pages are my most visited pages, the home page, the pay/request page, the activity page, the banking page and the account page. I use Figma to create this amazing protype, please try it out and let me know what you think.
